Raccoons (Procyon Lotor) are nocturnal and are also prevalent in the Kansas City and surrounding areas. They can carry several diseases and parasites both in their blood and their feces. They are the second most common wildlife we remove. Raccoons commonly have one litter in the spring. A litter can range from 4-7 young with 2-4 being the average.
Raccoons cause damage both inside and outside homes and business' and make easy work of entering a building or dwelling. They also make quick work of ruining newly laid sod, many times rolling it during the night to pick out and eat the insects beneath it.
